Process

CONSULTATION

The consultation is the first meeting with Wissing Contracting Company (and/or an architect) to determine the basic scope of work you want performed. During the consultation Wissing Contracting Company will try to determine what your needs are and devise the first working scope of work.

PLANNING

In many cases a design/build contract is prepared and signed. The planning stage may involve many weekly meetings to fine-tune the scope of work. An architect is present to make changes on the spot. Your needs will be further addressed to determine a more solid idea of what will be included in your project. After the concept drawings are acceptable, a proposed construction cost will be generated and issued for your review.

EARLY CONSTRUCTION

Upon your acceptance of the proposal, the contract is signed. Final drawings are rendered by the architect (when applicable). Material selections begin. A construction schedule is created. The permitting process begins prior to construction. A designer is available to help you through the early selection process.

This is the step in which actual construction begins. You may choose to move out of the home at this point. Here are some typical construction steps taken at this point:
Excavation;

Flooring installation;
Light fixture installation;
Stone work;
Gutters;

All final inspections are made by code officials.

POST CONSTRUCTION

Any “punch list” items are completed. The project manager will conduct a final walk through with you. The final payment is made. The warranty period begins. You may move back into the house or occupy the renovated space.
